As soon as the Zoo closes for day visitors, an exclusive zoo experience awaits you. The zoo catering or its renowned catering company will treat you to food and drinks ranging from snacks and exquisite buffets to a rustic barbecue. Discover the mountain zoo once in a very special way. A guided zoo experience tour is always an extraordinary experience for any age.

1) City Tour: Hallenser, Händel & Hallunken
A classic overview tour of Halle. On this city tour our guests will get to know the most important sites of Halle and their history(s). The city guide will show you the most beautiful sights of Halle and you will learn exciting and interesting facts about e.g. the cathedral, the New Residence or Händel's birthplace. Learn who the "Halloren" are, why there are probably numerous "Hallunken", and marvel at the market ensemble with its five towers.

2) Händel Haus Tour: Visiting George Frederick
During the tour, we will take you through the two permanent exhibitions "Handel - the European" and the exhibition "Historical Musical Instruments". "Handel - the European" entices you to travel back in time to the life and work of George Handel. In the exhibition "Historical Musical Instruments", on the other hand, you will learn curious and valuable facts about musical instruments - from the Baroque period to the present.

​3) Leopoldina Tour: Freemasons and natural scientists on the Jägerberg
Halle's "White House" - a place steeped in history now houses the Leopoldina National Academy of Sciences. On 01 January 1652, four physicians in the Free Imperial City of Schweinfurt founded the Academia Naturae Curiosorum, today the world's oldest scientific and medical academy in continuous existence. As an academy, it elects outstanding scientists as its members. Since its founding, more than 7,000 individuals have been appointed. These have included Marie Curie, Charles Darwin, Albert Einstein, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Alexander von Humboldt, Justus von Liebig and Max Planck. Since 1878, the Leopoldina has been based in the central German city of Halle an der Saale. It was named Germany's National Academy of Sciences in 2008. In this capacity, it has two special tasks: representing German science abroad and advising politicians and the public.
